DESCRIPCIÓN Curso presencial de formación metodológica orientado a proveer a los participantes de instrumentos y recursos que favorezcan la integración efectiva del alumnado de Necesidades Educativas Especiales en las clases de Primaria de los centros bilingües.
DESTINATARIOS Personal docente de Ed. Primaria que preste servicios en centros públicos bilingües de la Comunidad de Madrid, y que esté en posesión de la habilitación lingüística para impartir docencia en puestos bilingües o sea de la especialidad de inglés o justifique una competencia lingüística en inglés de nivel B2.

CONTENIDOS The course is divided in five units:
- Unit I: New Trends in Teaching Children with Special Needs
- Unit II: Learning about the CEFR & Adapted CEFR for Children with Special Needs (A1 & A2 Levels)
- Unit III: New Classroom Strategies for teaching English to Children with Special Needs.
- Unit IV: Curricular development and material design
- Unit V: How to optimize the presence of the English Language Assistants in teaching English in an inclusive classroom.
OBJETIVOS - To provide teachers with instruments and resources to be able to actively include children with special needs in the English classes in Primary education.
- To integrate new technologies and videoconferencing effectively when teaching English to children with special needs.
- To integrate English Language Assistants as a source of support in developing language adequate materials, modern, fun and attractive for specific students.
METODOLOGÍA This course is offered in English, following a communicative approach to language teaching and learning. This teaching model is intended to train teachers for real-life communication and practice in all four language skills, according to the age and English level of their own classroom students. There will be specific readings on Teaching Methodologies for Children with Special needs, a practical approach to CEFR and specific sessions for curricular development and hands-on material design. Attendance and active participation on the class discussions is required.
